More people are finding alternative uses for their garages other than parking their cars. SO why not turn your garage into your perfect man cave. Here are some ideas to turning your garage to planning your dream man cave.
Determine your layout. The first thing to do is to design your layout to what best suits your style. Collect all your creative energy and sketch out a few designs. Determine what goes where and what additional renovations you could make to make your man cave. Focus deciding on where to place important things such as; big screen TV, stereos and bar placement. It’s always better to plan to avoid unnecessary future spending.
If you’re on a budget- use a projector instead of a flat screen TV. A projector easily provides the same clear quality as a flat screen TV. A projector will triple the image size- making the images more detailed and sharp. Show off to your buddies by having a 120-inch HD display in your cave that will be half the price of a 60-inch flat screen.
Utilize your wall space well. Use your creativity and see what you can do with your wall space. Hang your flat screen TV instead of buying a TV stand to save floor space. Become familiar with drywall, as that will allow you to hang what your heart desires.
Look around classified ads such as craigslist and kijiji for gently used furniture. Makeshift a bar to give an extra wow to your cave- and will potentially get your buddies to come over every weekend. Invest in a good mini fridge, and a couple of bar stools, and you have yourself a bar.
Lastly- don’t forget to have a plan for heating and air conditioning. You would want you and your guests to stay comfortable in your cave.
